Lyle Virgil Jackson

SHEDD-Lyle Virgil Jackson, 77, of Shedd, died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Corvallis.
He was born in the Oakville area, and lived there and in the Shedd area all of his life.
He married Pansy Garland on Oct. 7, 1937, in Tillamook. She survives.
Mr. Jackson was a county bridge superintendent. He enjoyed flowers and gardening.
He was a member of Albany Elks Lodge No. 359.
Also surviving are sons Larry of Shedd; sister Ruby Rickards of Willows, Calif., and Lucille McMains of Lebanon; grandchildren Tara Jackson, Craig Jackson, Chris McDowell, Carrie Jackson; and great-grandchildren Marissa and Mandy McDowell, and several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Rova Wirth, died before him.
Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Willamette Memorial Mausoleum, Millersburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shedd Methodist Church, Evergreen Hospice or the Linn County 4-H Leaders Association for the 4-H Youth Fair.
