Lucile McMains, 88 of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Timberview Care Center in Albany.
She was born November 9, 1917 in Shedd, the daughter of Raymond L. and Rhoda B. (Faulkner) Jackson.
Lucile grew up in Scio where she graduated from high school. She married Chester L. McMains on August 24, 1941 in Albany. They moved to the Lebanon area in 1946, where she has lived since. Lucile and her husband co-owned Joe and Chet's Food Market in Lebanon for 18 years. She later owned and operated Lucile's Ladies Wear in Lebanon for several years until retiring in 1995.
Lucile enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers. She also liked to bake.
She is survived by her son: Terry McMains and his wife Pam of Canby; a daughter: Cheryl Newton of Las Vegas, Nevada; 4 grandchildren: Todd Morin, Jason Hemphill, and Brett and Maggi McMains; and 4 great-grandchildren: Kyle Morin, Taylor and Morgan Hemphill, and Olivia McMains.
Lucile was preceded in death by her husband: Chester L. McMains on July 4, 2005; a grandson, Kevin Hemphill; 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
