Mr. L. D. Hicks was born August 18, 1908 in Bandera County, Texas passed away March 23, 1934 in Knox City, Texas due to an appendicitis attack. Funeral services were held March 23, 1934 in the First Baptist Church in Knox City, with the Rev. Stovall officiating. He was buried in the Knox City Cemetery. Mr. Hicks was married to Miss Odessa Sibley on December 10, 1927 to which union three Children were born. They are Billy D. age 5, Bobby Gene age three and Wanda Mae age two. He is also survived by his parents John & Ollie Hicks of Comanche, TX, Three Brothers, Lonnie, Neely, and Curby Hicks all of Comanche. Four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Cuthbertson, and Mrs. Roy Spivey of Comanche, TX and Mrs. Ernest Hughes of O'Brien, TX and Mrs. Cecil Fannin of Rule, TX. Pallbearers for Mr. Hicks were Earl Mauldin, Bud Carver, Ross Williams, Joe Williams, Gentry Day and Tom Osborne. Flower girls were Misses Ruth Hendrix, May Hendrix, Ruby Fannin, Clyde Kay, Olen Carver, Inez Carver, lucyle Casey, Opal Underwood, Lillia B. Oliver, Znoba Peebles, and Viola Peebles.
