BETTY JANE BAUER, 85, of Antwerp, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, 11:05 p.m., at Vancrest Healthcare Center. Born Aug. 31, 1923, in Antwerp, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Hattie G. (Ours) Bissell. She worked at Magnavox for 48 years.
On March 20, 1942, she married Richard Bauer Sr.; he passed away Sept. 6, 2000.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Richard Jr. (Sharon) of Antwerp; brother, Robert "Bing" Bissell of Payne; grandchildren, Yvonne (Dan) Marlin and Todd Bauer; and great-grandchildren, Teeghun and Ethan Marlin.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Flossie Seslar.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with viewing one hour prior. The Rev. Jim Edwards officiating. Viewing is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dooley Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Her family requests donations to Paulding Area VNA & Hospice, Alzheimers Association or Antwerp V.E.T.S.
