Mrs. Wm. Horn passed away at
the St. Joseph hospital in Centerville
last Friday following an
illness that lasted only one day.
She suffered a stroke Thursday
from which she never recovered.
Iva M. Evans, daughter of
Aaron and Malinda (Daniels)
Evans, was born in Davis county,
Iowa, May 11, 1880 and. died on
December 21, 1962 at the age of
82 years, 7 months and 9 days.
She was married to Wm. F.
Horn on February 11, 1904, and to
this union was born two children,
Nedra Ruth who passed away
August 6, 1907, and Paul N. Horn
of Moulton, who with the companion,
survives. Seven grandchildren.
Bernadine, Willadean,
Wayne, Wanda, Don, Nedra and
Patricia, also nine great grandchildren;
one brother, W. L. Evans
and a sister, Estella Johnson,
besides many nieces,nephews, neighbors
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father,
mother, two sisters and a brother.
She united with the Monterey
Christian church on September
12, 1909 and remained in that
faith until death. She was a true
and devoted companion, mother
and grandmother and will be
sadly missed by those near and
dear to her.
Funeral services were held at
the Eagle Funeral Home on Sun-
day, conducted by Rev. Ben Bradbury
of Lancaster. Burial was in
Johnson Cemetery, south of
Monterey.
