Is said to buried next to Son Herman in Elmwood Cemetary,In Hartshorne , OK.∼"Mrs. Dave Rudder Is Buried Here Friday – Funeral rites were Friday at 2:30 o'clock in Evan Funeral chapel for Mrs. Dave Rudder, Denver, Colorado, who died Wednesday in an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery by the grave of a son, Herman Witt, who was killed by a train.
"Mrs. Rudder had written her nephew, Ed Patterson here, to have her lot cleaned off for Decoration Day, saying that she was homesick for Hartshorne. She arrived in Oklahoma City Friday, May 28, and was visiting a sister, Mrs. George Bayless, when she became seriously ill. A ruptured gallbladder was the cause of the death.
"Mrs. Rudder lived in Hartshorne in former years and will be remembered as Mrs. Dosha Witt. Her husband, Dave Rudder, was with her when she died, and she leaves two sons, Carl Witt of Los Angeles, California, and Sam Witt of Salt Lake City, Utah. They were unable to come.
"Another sister, Mrs. Holliman, Wister, and three brothers, John Hunt, Oscar Hunt of Talihina, and Will Hunt of Wister, also survive. A niece, Mrs. Fletcher Carr, Mr. Carr and their son, Jerry, of Tulsa, were also here for the funeral. Mrs Joe Ganner, Hartshorne, is also a niece."
Theodosha Hunt was born in 1881 in the Sugar Loaf Valley in the Choctaw Nation of Indian Territory; she was the thirteenth child of Amanda Jane Caudell and John Austin Hunt.
She married first December 26, 1897 in Indian Territory to Samuel E. Witt. Their children are Carl Raymond Witt, Herman C. Witt, and Samuel E. Witt, Jr. The first two sons were born in the Choctaw Nation of Indian Territory; the third son was born after statehood.
She married second prior to 1930 in Colorado to David Andrew Rudder; they had no children. Dave Rudder was born January 1, 1873 in Laurel County, Kentucky; he died April 28 1952 in Los Angeles County, California (burial currenly unknown).
