Billy Joe Phillips Sr., age 73 of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at his home. He was born October 1, 1936 in Scott County to the late Dillard and Ora Mae Acers Phillips. He was a retired coal miner and was well liked, loved, and respected in the community. He had a big heart, a passion for life, and loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, Charles "Chuck" Phillips and Rufus "Rudy" Phillips.Survivors Wife Louise Phillips Oak Ridge Sons Dennis Phillips Lake City Doug Phillips Knoxville Billy Phillips and wife, Angie Clinton Sgt.
