Burial will follow in the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Providence.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Lake Providence.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at the First Baptist Church.
Hattie Mae, 85 years of age, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, with family by her side. She was born in Mangham, LA, on May 17, 1925, to Arthur Clifton and Clarissa Burkett Anderson.
Married to E. M. Norris for over 40 years, they were blessed with three children, Jane Norris Goode, Paul E. Norris of Benton, Arkansas, and David H. Norris of Lake Providence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, parents, brother Bill Anderson, and sister Marie Busby.
She was also greatly loved and will be missed by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Barbay of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, her children's spouses, Deborah Norris of Benton, Arkansas and Danny Goode of Abbeville, Alabama, her four grandchildren, and her six great-grandchildren.
An active member for many years, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Lake Providence in lieu of flowers.
Pallbearers are: Norris Cooley, Chad Moore, Barry Blumberg, Lance Prine, Excel Hankins, and Daniel Bollen.
Honorary Pallbear is Danny Goode.
