Melvin J. Hunsaker, 64, of Provo, Utah, died July 20, 1984 in a West Valley Utah rest home. He suffered of multiple sclerosis for almost 20 years.

Funeral services were held on July 23 1984 at Provo, Utah.

Melvin was the son of Allen G. and Mary Ann Hunsaker, former residents of Osmond. He spent his life there until World War II when he spent several years in the armed forces in the South Pacific.

After the war, he married Ruth Pulsipher of Logan. They moved to Provo, where he attended Brigham Young University.

After graduation he worked as a chemist at Geneva Steel until 1964 when he became ill and retired.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs Darlene Ramacy of Richmond, Virginia; sons Allen J. Hunsaker of Chandler, Arizona; Stanley and Scott Hunsaker of Orem, Nathan Hunsaker of Lynchburg, Virginia and Drew Hunsaker of Phoenix.

Surviving his death are three brothers, Allen Leroy Hunsaker of Salt Lake City, Sterling Hunsaker of Kearns and Floyd Hunsaker of Afton, Also two sisters, Audry Lainhart of Osmond and Ruby Parsons of Victor, Idaho.

Those attending the funeral from the Valley were Boyd and Audry Lainhart and daughters, Vatis Booth, Mary Ann Larson, Laura Allman and Floyd Hunsaker.
