Nathan is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Lofthouse-Pulsipher, and Melvin J. Hunsaker, and late wife Julie Cozine Hunsaker.
Nathan is survived by seven children: Aaron (Kasia), Marshall (Kim), Brett, Elyssa (Michael) Zimmerman, Griffin, Reeve, and Linnea Hunsaker; six grandchildren: Liam, Eliza, April, Julie, Simon, and Brooks; and five siblings: Darlene (Frank) Ramsey, Allen (Karen), Drew (Elizabeth), Stan (Terri), and Scott (Christen) Hunsaker. Nathan is also survived by his wife, Patty Hunsaker; and her eight children: Melissa, Kevin (Kimberly), Josh (Nikki), Chris, Beth (Ryan), Cassandra, Kimberly (Kyle), and Molly (Mckay); as well as grandchildren: Taylor, Ethan, Chandler, Addison, Alexis, Cameron, Cooper, Chase, Kate, Grace, Mallory, Quinn, and Scarlett.
A resident of Erie for over 30 years, Nathan spent that time working as an actuary for Erie Insurance and participating in many community programs including the Erie Opera Theater and the Presque Isle Chorale. Nathan was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and donated much time to volunteering in youth programs and performing musical numbers. Nathan especially loved his role as a father, which extended far beyond his own children. His efforts to listen and improve the lives of those around him persisted through all phases of his life.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.), on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Further visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Friday, July 22, 2022, 1101 South Hill Rd., from 10 until 10:45 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 AM.
Nathan will then be laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choosing in Nathan's honor.
