Mr. Thompson passed away Friday July 9, 2010. He was a native of Washington County and had made his home in Baldwin County for most of his life. He was the son of the late Grady Jack and Willie Boone Thompson. He was retired from Bass Signal Co. Long time member and Former Chief of East Baldwin Fire Dept. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and attended Masters Touch Tabernacle.

Survivors include his wife- Pauline Brookins Thompson; daughter- Lynn (Eddie) Grimes; sons- David Thompson and Grady L. "Buzz" Thompson all of Milledgeville; sister- Jackie Dyer of N. Carolina ; brother- James B. Thompson; 3 grandchildren- Chasity Goins, Mickey Thompson and Kevin Grimes; 2 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
