Mr. James Bert "J. B." Thompson, 79, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. Services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Smyrna Baptist Church at 2PM. Interment will be in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends and family in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5PM until 7PM.

Mr. Thompson lived most of his life in Deepstep, Georgia. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and was retired from Rheem Manufacturing. He is predeceased by His parents, Grady Jack and Willie D. Boone Thompson, a daughter Verna Sue Thompson and a brother, Jerry Thompson.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Reba Cheryl Thompson of Deepstep, a daughter, Lillian "Dee" Thompson of Tennille, Sons; James "Jay" Thompson, Frankie (Angie) Thompson, Jack "Bebo" Thompson all of Deepstep; sister, Jackie (James) Dyer of North Carolina. Thirteen grandchildren also survive.
