A retired farmer, Edward Shadwell, 80, of Paris, died Saturday, September 19 at his home.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Monday September 21 at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris. The Rev. Jim Boyle officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Sherman and Howard Shadwell, Mark Wavering, Kenneth Poole, Bill Enochs and Jim Roney.
The Agnew Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shadwell was born in Thompson on April 4, 1907, a son of Edgar and Martha McGinnis Shadwell.
He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Pflum; two daughters, Shirley Sandy of Madison and Alma Enochs of Hannibal; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; six sisters, Faye Smith, Jeanie Chapman, Erma Shuck and Enid Crim, all of Hannibal, Vera McMullen and Madge Nordlund of Paris; and two brothers, Joe Shadwell of Paris and John Shadwell of Mexico.
A son and a sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Shadwell was a member of the Paris Christian Church.
