Richardson had been active in many civic affairs of Olney through the years. He was charger member of the Olney Livestock and Rodeo Association. He was one of the originators of the annual True Community reunion, an operator of the Olney Quarterhorse and Palomino Show, held in former years.
He was active in the Olney Downtown Men's Bible class.
He moved to Olney with his parents in his early years.
He married Miss Anne Gladden in 1942 at Dallas, Texas.
Survived by his wife; two daughters - Mrs. Raymon Kunkel of Irving and Mrs. Maurice Litton of Tallahassee, FL; one brother - John Richardson of Abileen; two sister - Mrs. Ethel Lemmons of Olney and Mrs. Guy Houton of Throckmorton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
