Mrs. Hansen was born and had lived al but a year and six months of her life on the same farm near Ruskin.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred; sons, Arnold of Bostwick, Enos, David and Harold, all of Ruskin, Glenn of Sonoma, Calif., and Rev. Edwin of Ohiowa, Neb.; one daughter, Mrs. Martha McIntosh of Superior; brother, Harry Houtwed of Nora; 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Rev. Edward Hiller will officiate and burial will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery near Ruskin. The Urbauer Funeral Home of Davenport is in charge of arrangements.

Jencena Hansen, nee Houtwed, died at the Nuckolls County Hospital on Jan. 14, 1969. She was born south of Ruskin May 20, 1887 and at the time of her death was 81 years, 7 months and 24 days.
She was married to Alfred Hansen on Oct. 31, 1907. They celebrated 61 years of wedded life together.
To this union were born eight children, one son, Harland (sic), preceding her in death. Three sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors are her husband, Alfred; children, Arnold of Bostwick, Martha McIntosh of Superior, Enos, David and Harold of Ruskin, Glenn of Sonoma, Calif., and Pastor Edwin Hansen of Ohiowa, Neb.; 24 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Harry Houtwed of Ruskin; a brother-in-law, Jens Hansen of the Good Samaritan Village, Hastings; and many nieces and nephews.
She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was confirmed by Pastor L. Jensen in 1902, and has remained faithful all her life.
Mrs. Hansen was a life-long resident of Nuckolls County and lived on the same farm all of her life but one year.
Funeral services were held at Bethany Lutheran Church on Friday, Jan. 17, with Pastor Edward Hiller officiating. Interment was in Spring Creek Cemetery.
