Harvey Addison Brock, 91, retired farmer and livestock rasier of R.R. Abingdon,died at 2 p.m. May 1 in Powell's Nursing Home in Galesburg, following a long illness. He had been a lifetime resident of the "Puckerbrush" area, northwest of Abingdon. His many friends gave him the title of "Mayor of Puckerbrush."

He was born May 17, 1896 or 1871 in Warren County, a son of William A. and Elizabeth Heller Brock. He married Sarah Poole in Kewanee and she died in 1913. He then married Esther,she died in 1917.

He is survived by four sons, James of R.R. Cameron, Claude of Galesburg, William of Fontana, California, and Glen of Abingdon; three daughters Mrs. Nina Noman of Pheonix, Ariz, Mrs. R. G. Simpson of Monmouth and Mrs. Blondell Kaswman of Wayne, Pa; one sister Mrs. Effie Rinker of Galesburg; 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren .

Mr Brock was preceded in death by two wifes, his parents, two sisters & three brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Ebright of the Abingdon Methodist Church officiating.

Mrs. Patricia Dunlap is the organist and will accompany Mrs. Mary Alice Anderson, soloist.

Pallbears will all be grandsons of Mr. Brock. Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
