Mary (Maria) Cinadr was born 3 years before her parents were married and her birth was "legitimized" by their marriage on 21 Nov 1853 in the church records of Belec. (See photo). She emigrated with her parents, Frank and Katherine Vana Cinadr, from Belec, Prachatice, South Bohemia to Davenport, Iowa around 1854.

Mary married Edwin Mathews on 8 Feb 1877 in Chicago in a civil ceremony. While visiting her sister, Johanna Cinadr Donnelly in Fargo, North Dakota, she died from TB. Her body was sent back to Davenport for burial; it cost $3 to bury her.

Mary and her husband have unmarked graves.
