Mrs. Anna Weiler Rieth, 72, of New Holstein, died at her home at 2103 Wisconsin avenue there at noon Friday after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Rieth was born at Holy Cross, town of Belgium, Dec. 19, 1878, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Weiler. She attended school at Holy Cross and on Feb. 14, 1900, was married to Nicholas Rieth at Holy Cross. The couple living on the homestead farm three miles southwest of New Holstein until Mr. Rieth's death on April 21, 1926, when Mrs. Rieth continued on the homestead until 1933, when she moved to New Holstein. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Church and the Christian Mothers society at New Holstein and a member of the Christian Mothers society at St. Anna.
She leaves three sons, Clemens, on the homestead, Felix, of New Holstein, and Arthur of St. Anna, four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Clara) Stemper, of Glenbeulah, Mrs. William (Martha) Hein, of Chilton, and Mrs. Elroy (Romilda) Steiner and Mrs. Joseph (Mabel) Casper of Marytown; 19 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Klas, of Fredonia, and Mrs. Katie Thill, of Belgium.
Funeral services will be held Monday and Holy Rosary church, New Holstein, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. George A Schemmer, officiating, and burial will be in the St. Anna cemetery.
