DIES FOLLOWING STROKE.

Death Monday of Mrs. Reuben Pickering at Home of Son-Aged 72.

Mrs. Reuben Pickering of east of Novelty [Missouri] died about 8 o'clock Monday evening at the home southeast of Edina of her son, Harvey Arment, at the age of 72 years. She suffered a stroke about three weeks ago and was moved Tuesday of last week from her home to the home of her son. Funeral services were at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Harmony Church southeast of Edina, conducted by the Rev. O.B. Hobbs of Novelty. Burial was in the church cemetary.

Surviving are the husband and seven children by a previous marriage: Emma, Mrs. John Pulse, Atlanta, Mo,; Mrs. W.G. Snell and Harvey, Roy, George, and Joseph Arment of and near Edina, and Elmer Arment, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Margaret Burbage, Louisiana, Mo., a half-sister, Mrs. Etta Rule, Atlas, Ill., and a number of grandchildren.

As Ida Jane Merryman, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Merryman, Mrs. Pickering was born at Kinderhook, Ill., May 30, 1858. She married George Arment many years ago and to them were born thirteen children, of whom the following preceded their mother in death: Ollie, Mrs. Charles Hudnut, Baring, Mo.; Bertha, Mrs. Ed Gastineau, Nickelton, Mo.; Ada Arment and Mrs. Cleveland Hudnut, Edina, and Fannie, Mrs. James Acorn, Oklahoma City, Okla. Their father died Jan 13, 1916.

Mrs. Arment married Mr. Pickering June 22, 1934.
