EDINA, Mo. — Joe Arment, 87, of Edina, died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 24, 1986) in his home.
Mr. Arment was born Sept. 10, 1899, the son of George and Ida Murman Arment. He married Dela [sic] Parish, Dec. 26, 1918, in Edina. She survives.
A lifelong resident of Knox County, Mr. Arment was a farmer and had worked at the Edina Burnham Glove Factory for 25 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Edina Assembly of God Church.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald Ray Arment of Holt and Lewis Guy Arment of Nexa; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Arment was preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina by the Rev. Ronald Garner. Burial will be in the Park View Memorial Gardens at Kirksville. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Hudson-Rimer Chapel in Edina.
