Mrs. Jessie Peart Snell, 95, of Knox City, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday (Aug. 16, 1982) in the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton, where she had been a resident a short time.
Services were conducted Thursday in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, officiated by Rev. Luke Turnbough. Pallbearers were grandsons Randy Snell, Brent Snell, Elvin Ray Morrow, Terry Morrow, Sammy Oshner and Bill Oshner. Burial was in Linville Cemetery in Edina.
She was born March 7, 1887 [sic], in Knox County, a daughter of George and Ida Merryman Arment. On October 10, 1910, she married William G. Snell in Quincy. He died April 14, 1964.
Surviving are two sons, Ray of Canton and Robert of Knox City; a daughter, Mrs. Elvin (Ida) Morrow of Knox City; a brother, Joe Arment of Edina; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Letetia Oshner, a grandson, five brothers and six sisters.
