Husband of Margie Virginia Lovin, Married May 6, 1946, Buncombe County, N. C.

Clarence Donald Emory, 60 of Charcoal Road, Rt. 2 Weaverville, died Tuesday in Asheville VA Hospital after a long illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, North Carolina and an Army veteran of World War ll, he was a member of Anitoch Baptist Church and the Adult Men's Class. He was employed by Black Mountain Woodworking Co., and was a son of the late Squire Jefferson Emory and Violet Estelle "Essie" Myers

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Margie Virginia Lovin Emory, two sons, Donald Gay Emory of Weaverville, and Gary James Emory of the home, five sisters, Magdelene Emory Loven, Dorothy Emory Brown, Mildred Emory Metcalf of Weaverville, Willa Mae Emory Hawkins, of Alexander and Juanita Emory Hill of Asheville, four brothers, Lee John (L. J) Emory, Jerry Lee Emory, and the Rev. Worth G. Emory of Weaverville, and Eric D. Emory of Asheville, and a granddaughter.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Ivy Hill Baptist Church, of which he was a deacon. The Revs. John Bussard, William Lynch, Worth Emory, and Joe Honeycutt, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Ashelawn Hardens of Memory.

The family will receive friends fro, 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday at Anders Rice Funeral Home, where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes before the services.

Military Service:
U.S. ARMY, 1942-1945, 898th Anti-Aircraft Bat. Saw combat in Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany.
