My very lovely Grandmother - with her High Heeled, calf-high, buttoned up boots. Her trunks held all the "pretties" she would give us if we did "so and so."

I was fortunate to be her bed partner after we moved to Wichita Falls, TX and wished I had asked the right questions to find out more about her and our family instead of using a flashlight, held under the covers, to read Nancy Drew books!

Partiality didn't enter my thinking at the time; but, now that I think about it, she may have been a little partial to my next younger brother, Gene.

She was a very pretty lady with curly hair and high principles. We all loved her!!

My Grandmother always said she had eight children - four by Mister Haynes and four by Mister Holley.
