My Grandfather that I never knew - except by the value of hard work instilled in my father.

He married (1) Lucretia C Andrews May 30, 1868 in Bedford County, TN, and they had (8) children, Elizabeth Betty, Lee Andrew, William Thomas, Samuel Franklin, John David 'Dick', Mary Jane, James Alexander 'Jim' and Jefferson Davis 'Jeff'.

He married (2) Sarah Lucinda 'Sallie'(Mangum) Haynes May 5, 1901 in Waxahatchie Ellis County TX, and they had (4) children, Pearlie Victory, Walter Ervin, Willie Roosevelt 'Bill', and Benjamin Franklin 'Ben'. Along with these children, they raised Lillie Melinda Catherine Haynes and Florence L Haynes, my Grandmother's daughters by her first husband, George Frank Haynes.
