Mrs. Bogart was born Dec. 13, 1915, in Akins, Okla., to George and Viva Boydston Cheek. She was a graduate of Sallisaw High School and attended Warner Junior College for two years.

She married John Shermer on Nov. 12, 1935, and lived in Oklahoma until his death in 1947. She then relocated to Borger, where she married Vance Bogart on Sept. 11, 1948.

Mrs. Bogart was a years-long member of First Baptist Church in Borger and a lifelong member of the Cherokee Indian tribe.

Our family sincerely appreciated the kind and loving care shown by the staff at Ware Living Center, The Village, and Namaste Unit, as well as the compassionate support of the nurses and BSA Hospice.
