Mrs. Maude Mae Smith,62, 820 W. 14th St., widow of William R. Smith, died at Ball Hospital early Monday, following a brief illness. She was born in Delaware County and spent most of her life in this community. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hulse, Indianapolis, Mrs. Dorothy Crump and Mrs. Arvada Shreeves, both of Muncie; four brothers, Sherman, Homer, Charles and Mark Stephens, all of Muncie, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Smith died here in 1953.
Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dewey Hole in charge. Burial will be in the family lot in Hawk Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Tuesday and anytime before services Wednesday.
