Mary was married to Benjamin West on February 19, 1834 in Bradford, Simcoe, Ontario. They had 9 children, 3 dying in infancy (Derrick, Esther, Tamma Amelia), and her death had a huge impact on the family. Her son, Dr. David Abijah West, would regularly visit her grave and lay flowers for her. He writes about this in his journals. Mary died on Tuberculosis at 39 years of age. My assumption is that she was a Quaker. I am not sure if her husband was a Quaker, but we think he may have been one.
