Mrs. Mamie Ann Drake, age 84, passed away at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Hamilton, early Friday morning, Dec. 4 after an extended illness.

The Rev. Tim Moody officiated at the services that were held in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2:00 P.M. Burial was in the Shive Cemetery.

Mrs. Drake was born in Hamilton Co. on April 2, 1897, the daughter of William Kiefer Bloodworth and Annie Hubbard Bloodworth. She lived in Hamilton Co. most of her life and was married to Rev. S. M. Drake, a farmer and a Baptist preacher on June 24, 1918 in Lampasas, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. S. M. Drake, one son, Sam Allen Drake Sr. of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, a daughter, Mary Helen Drake Pax, one sister, Sellie Bloodworth McCauley, two brothers, Mark Bloodworth and Max Bloodworth. Four grandchildren, Sarah, Alton Earl, Mildred Ruth and Sam Allen Jr. Drake and six great grandchildren. Mike and Ronnie Bone, Rhea and Dea Drake, Greg Drake and Kristi Drake.

Pallbearers were Tony Bone, Alton Earl Drake, Sam Allen Drake, Jr. Garnett Damewood, Mike Bone and Ronnie Bone.
