Mrs. Daisy Drake, a resident of Portales for 31 years died Monday morning at Roosevelt General Hospital after suffering a heart attack.

She was 74 years old and was born March 18, 1895 in Hamilton Co. Texas. Mrs. Drake is survived by her husband Clarence P. Drake, two sons, Ralph B. Drake of Portales and Cedric P. Drake of Saudi Arabia and three daughters, Mrs. Claryce Crockett of Lovington, Mrs. Ann Bell of Hart, Texas and Mrs. Barbara Tollett of of Olton, Texas; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Ella Landers of Marana, Arizona, Mrs. Sellie McCauley of Fort Worth and Mrs. Mamie Drake of Hamilton. Two brothers, Mark Bloodworth of Hamilton and Max Bloodworth of Silver City, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Bob Stalcup, officiating. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.

The pallbearers will be Mrs. Drake's grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be member of the family's Sunday School classes. The Ambassadors and the King's Workers.
