Born September 14, 1919 in Marion, Utah to Willard O. and Gwendolyn Williams Andrus. Married Jean W. Wilde on October 30, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Maxine was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her first calling in the church came as a freshman in High School. She was called to play the organ for the Y.W.M.I.A. She served her first mission to the Western States in 1941.
She worked hard as a wife and a mother, tending and ironing for others to bring in a little extra money. She raised a beautiful daughter and seven wonderful sons. She and Jean served two more missions together, one to England in 1982 and one to the Philippines a few years later. Maxine loved to make bread and play Rook.
She leaves behind thirty-four grandchildren and seventy-five great-grandchildren. We will miss you. Survived by her children: Carol (Robert) Larson, Willard (Linda) Wilde, Elmon (Janice) Wilde, Merwin Wilde, Carlos (Raenel) Wilde, Kendell (Darla) Wilde, Kevin (Dorothy) Wilde, and Bart (Cindy) Wilde, thirty-four grandchildren, seventy-five great-grandchildren, siblings, W. Garth (Eloise) Andrus, Gwendolyn Sundberg, Wanda (Dan) Mackintosh, Maureen Adams.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Boulevard (7600 South). A visitation will be held prior to the services at the mortuary from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment: Holladay Memorial Park.
