Funeral services for Mrs. Lauren Lietsch were Saturday
at the Brethren Church, Carleton. She died Dec. 17 at the
age of 87 years, 10 months and 17 days.

Jennie Lynn Bailey was born Jan. 30, 1892, at Carleton. She was the seventh child of the 10 children of George Washington and Saphrania Naomi Bailey.

She was married Jan. 12,1920, to Lauren Carroll Lietsch and
they continued to live on the farm homestead until 1969.
Since that time their principle residence has been in
California.

She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Doris
Jean and Dolores Evelyn, and one son, Billy Earl, who lost his life in World War II.

Survivors are her husband, Lauren; one daughter, Audrey
Ruth Steyer, Stockton, Calif.; two grandsons; two brothers,
Russel M. Bailey, Omaha, and Thurston Vern Bailey, Gillette, Wyo.; one sister, Ollie Jean Bates, Spring Valley, Calif.; and many other relatives.

The Rev. James Eikenberry officiated and burial was in the
Carleton Cemetery.

The Urbauer Funeral Home, Davenport, was in charge of
arrangements.
