In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by four brothers, E. Preston Bailey of Lincoln, James L. of Carleton, Thurston V. of the U.S. Veterans Hospital at Sheridan, Wyo., and Russell M. of Omaha; two sisters, Ollie Jean Bates of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jennie L. Lietsch of Carleton; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Floyd enjoyed his family, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had an eager interest in all aspects of farming and work with livestock. He loved his community, its churches and schools; and constantly stressed their importance in the rearing of his family. He enjoyed sports and working with young boys. He spent many happy hours with young people engaged in active sports. He will be greatly missed by his family and community. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Sylvus Flora, were held on Monday, Sept. 17, at 2:30 p.m. at the Brethren Church in Carleton.
Mrs. JoAnn Row sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset" Pianist was Mrs. Delores Graul. Masonic services were conducted at the graveside in the Carleton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harlan Horner, Allen Betty, Lawrence Bedford, Norman Walker, Don Wilder and Warren Voss.

Floyd and Mary Lou (Ough) Bailey were long time
residents of Carleton. They raised their family of five:
Wilma, Thelma, LaVern, Donald and George.
Floyd and Mary lived on a farm east of Carleton
where he farmed and was a cattle buyer and seller.
The family was sports players, fans and loved
music. Floyd was the catcher for the Carleton baseball team.
They were hard working, church going people and
left a lot of memories for all of us.
