She was united in holy matrimony with Harry G. Livings of Davenport, Nebr., on March 8, 1924. They established their new home in Davenport where they since resided. to this union three children were born; two sons, Harry Bailey and Rodney Almon, and an infant daughter, Esther Rae, who preceded her mother in death.
As a young girl she became a member of the Brethren Church of Carleton through baptism by triune immersion. To that faith she remained faithful until her death.
She was a member and a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Davenport Chapter 268; the American Legion Auxiliary; a member and past president of the Davenport Woman's Club; and belonged to the Women's Missionary Society of Christ's Lutheran Church of Davenport.
She was a devoted wife, mother and sister and a generous neighbor and friend.
Surviving her are her husband, Harry G. Livings of Davenport; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Livings of Geneva and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Livings of Sioux City, Ia.; one granddaughter, Jan Renee Livings of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Bates and Mrs. Lauren Lietsch, Floyd E. Bailey of Carleton, E. Preston Bailey of Lincoln, Thurston V. Bailey of Sheridan, Wyo., and Russell M. Bailey of Omaha, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Brethren Church in Carleton.
Burial was in Davenport.
