Henry Harrison HINES married May Wilhelmina nee DUNN SEIDEL.
She had four children with Edward SEIDEL.

Edward Fredrick SEIDEL and May Wilhelmina DUNN married in April 1902 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Three sons were born to them as the family moved around Wisconsin.

By the 15 Apr 1910 census, the family of 5 was living in Whitney, Dawes County, Nebraska, where Edward was a railroad laborer. By Oct 1912, when their only daughter, Florence Ada, was born, the family had arrived in Oregon.

On Edward's death in Portland, Oregon, in May 1915, the four siblings ranged in age from 2 to 12. In Jan 1916, May, at 32, married Henry Harrison "Harry" HINES, a month before he turned 30. Between 1918 and 1924, their blended family grew with the births of two sons and a daughter. In the 1 Jan 1920 census, all the children were recorded with Henry's HINES surname and without indication of his step-parentage. In the 1930 census, the two SEIDEL kids still at home with Henry (i.e. Harry and May) were listed as his step-children with their SEIDEL surname.

Edward is buried in the same family plot as Henry, May and the latter's son James Alva HINES. [See photos on the right.]
