CHAS. CARLSON OF MAINE DIES
Respected Citizen Passes as Result of Attack of Diabetes and Pneumonia

Charles Carlson, a well known resident of Maine township, died in this city Sunday about 6:30 p. m. He had been ill of diabetes for some time and suffered an attack of pneumonia, which caused his death. Everything possible was done for him, but to no avail.

He was born in Sweden, August 3, 1870, and was 63 years old at the time of his death. He came to this country when a youth of 16 years. Some thirty years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Bessie Bjorgo, a resident of this county and they have made their home here ever since.

He was the father of twelve children, two of whom have preceded him in death. His wife and the following children are left to mourn the death of a kind and loving husband and father. Mrs. J. M. Lee, New Richmond, Mich.; Mrs. Lawrence Beckman, Calumet, Ill.; Mrs. Oscar Grondahl, Battle Lake; Carl and Sanfrid Carlson of Fergus Falls; Adolph, Bernard, Pearl, Norman and Calmer at home. He is also survived by three brothers - Alfred and Ed. of Beltrami, Minn., and Frank in the state of Washington, and three sisters, two living in Clearwater county and one in the state of Washington.

Mr. Carlson was a good citizen and a kind neighbor and friend and his death will be a loss to the community.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
