Emma Holm 1869-1956

Mrs. Emma S. Holm died at the Bemidji Hospital September 26. She was born in Sweden on October 26, 1869 and came to the United States at the age of 11 and settled in Underwood, Minnesota. She was confirmed at the Lutheran church at Underwood.
She was married to P.H. Holm in Fergus Falls in 1890 and they lived in the Underwood territory until 1900 when they moved to Shevlin. Mr. Holm died in 1923 and Mrs. Holm moved to Bemidji in 1942.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Esther Tom of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Matilda Fink of Gladstone, Michigan, and Mrs. Ida Johnson of Bemidji; three sons, Henry Holm of Redwood City, California, Carl of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Edwin of Shevlin; 21 grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Carlson of Washington and Edward Carlson of Shevlin. One daughter also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at the McKee Chapel Saturday, 29th at 2 p.m. The Rev. C.W. Hanson of Shevlin will officiate and burial will be in the Shevlin Cemetery.
