Evelyn Ruth Ingle, age 81, of Ollie, died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the Sigourney Care Center, Sigourney, Iowa. She was born January 10, 1929, to Howard and Lela Roberts Shipley, in Delta, Iowa. She graduated from Delta High School in 1946. She was united in marriage to Leland "Dale" Ingle on April 18, 1948, in Delta. Evelyn enjoyed baking cakes and made up to 300 cakes per year. She was a homemaker and her biggest joy was caring for her family. She also loved fishing, was a great cook, and enjoyed visiting with people on the C. B. radio, where her handle was "Catfish Kitty." She was a member of the Ollie Chapter of the Eastern Star #549, and a member of the Ollie Baptist Church. Mrs. Ingle is survived by her husband, Dale,and three sons: Jim and Ruth Ann Ingle of West DesMoines, Iowa, Jack and Dondra Ingle of Ollie, Iowa, and Marty and Tracy Ingle of Ottumwa, Iowa; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. Memorials may be made in her name to either the Ollie Baptist Church, Ollie, Iowa, or the Sigourney Care Center, 900 South Stone, Sigourney, Iowa.
