Lonnie D. Pickens-
Lonnie Dean Pickens, age 73, of Harvey, died Wednesday, Januray 12, at the Yell County Hospital. He was a native of the Mount George Community, a retired farmer, a son of the late Sam and Ella Womack Pickens and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie Carter Pickens, six sons, R.C. Pickens of Muscogee, OK, Bill Pickens of Danville, Jake Pickens, Joe Pickens, and Jim Pickens, all of Gravelly, and Jerry Pickens of Bluffton; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Brogan of Dumas, and Mrs. Betty Freeman of CA; four brothers, Thad Pickens and Jim Pickens both of New Mexico, and Franzer Pickens, and Frelon Pickens both of Dumas; three sisters. Mrs. Easter Bryant of McGhee, Mrs. Mech (sic) Armstrong, and Mrs. Artie Hawkins both of CA; 28 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Bluffton Methodist Church Saturday afternoon at 12:00 with the Rev. Royce Savage officiating. Interment was in the Bluffton Cemetery.

Arrangements and services were in the care of the Cornwell Funeral Service."
