Margaret Stewart was born Sep 18, 1861 in Portland Or to Peter Grant and Rebecca Rawlings (Cason)Stewart, who had come over the Oregon Trail in 1843. Rebecca died when Margaret was two, and her sisters Mary Gourley and Katherine Hannah helped raise her. She married Lemuel Cyrene Perryman Sep 1 1883 in St. Peters Church, Old Tacoma. Four children survived her.
