AUSTIN - Gina Streetman, 60, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008.

Celebration of life services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home.

Gina Streetman died following a lengthy illness. She was born May 29, 1947, in Lakeview to Joe and Lucille Berry. She was a 1965 graduate and valedictorian of Lakeview High School. She received her bachelor's and master's of education from West Texas State University in Canyon. Gina and James were married in 1979 in Amarillo.

She taught school and was an educational diagnostician in Amarillo for many years. Later, she moved to Houston where she was a diagnostician in the Alief School District. She continued working in Austin for the Leander School District until retiring in 2005.

Gina was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. Her courage and strength never wavered and will be missed dearly by all.

The family would like to thank the staff at Texas Oncology-Northwest and the Transplant Clinic at University Hospital in San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Berry.

Survivors include her husband, James; her father, Joe Berry of Lakeview; a son, David Neal Duncan and wife Taylor of Amarillo; a daughter, Kristi Duncan Isaacs and husband Jonathan; four grandchildren, the joy of her life, Emma Duncan of Amarillo and Garrett, Karys and Hudson Isaacs of Austin; two sisters, Landa Murray and husband John of Kress and Joan Cosgrove and husband Mark of Amarillo; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and countless friends.

The family suggests memorials be to Transplant Center Fund, University System Foundation, 527 N. Leona, MS 1-2, San Antonio, TX 78207.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
