                                                                 NORA ANNA BIRD

   Nora Anna Bird, daughter of Joseph and Eliza Bird, was born near Trenton, Mo., July 15, 1873. She passed away at her home in Fairfield, July 2, 1941.

   Her parents moved from Missouri to Nebraska in February, 1874, taking a homestead five miles northeast of Fairfield. She moved to Fairfield in 1907 and that year, under the ministry of the Rev. E. M. Furman, became a member of the Methodist church where she was a faithful member until her death.

   She belonged to the Royal Neighbor and Rebekah lodges.

   Her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

   Her sister, Millie is left to mourn her passing.

   Services were held at the Methodist church, Friday, July 4th, conducted by Rev. Beebe of Silver Creek, assisted by Rev. Harris.

   Miss Nora Bird, who had been seriously ill for about ten days, died, at her home in Fairfield late Wednesday morning, July 2. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon and burial was made in the Fairfield cemetery. Miss Bird had been a resident of Fairfield for about 30 years. The greater part of the time before that she lived in the Randall (Fairview) district in Marshall.

                                                 Miss Nora Bird Laid to Rest Friday

    Miss Nora Bird passed away on Wednesday at 11:30 a. m., at her home after several days' illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. H. Beebe of Silver Creek officiating. Miss Bird was born in the state of Missouri in 1873, and came to Nebraska a few years later and resided on a farm south of Clay Center until the death of her parents, then moved to Fairfield where she lived with her sister, Miss Millie, and brother, Albert, who passed away in 1927. She was a member of the Methodist church and Royal Neighbor and Rebekah Lodge, and was a faithful member to all. She leaves to mourn her passing an only sister, Miss Millie Bird.
