Millie Bird
Hannah Millie Bird was born May 12, 1871 on a farm near Trenton, Misssouri and passed away at her home in Fairfield, Nebraska, Tuesday morning Dec. 13, 1949 at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 1 day.
She came to Nebraska with her parents Joseph and Eliza Bird in the spring of 1874.
She was admitted to the Methodist Church at the age of 18 at Randolph school house and shortly afterward the class moved to Clay Center; the Pastor at that time was Rev. E. J. Randall.
In 1889 she moved to Spring Ranch, later returning to Fairfield in 1907, where she resided until the time of her death. She was the last of her family, her parents, one brother and one sister preceeded her in death.
At the time of her death she was a member of the Fairfield Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors Lodge.
Funeral services were conducted at the Fairfield Methodist Church on Thursday Dec. 15th, 1949 with the Rev. Jestine Jensen officating. Pallbears were Max Congrove, Rolland Congrove, Dean Palmu, Charles White, Temple Crookshank, and Ward Doll.
Interment was made in the Fairfield cemetery.
