Mrs. Sarah T. Mayes, 87, of 310 Smith St., East Alton, died Wednesday morning at her home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1886, in Moro and married William Mayes, who died in 1955.
She was a member of the Wood River Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Vern (Estelle) Bramley of Wood River, and Mrs. Frances Metzger of Alton and a nephew, Frank Morehead of East Alton.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Robert Smith. Burial will be in Moro Cemetery.
