Married Brantley Hodges in Macon County Georgia in 1860.
They had 4 daughters; Mary Jane, Martha Ann Fernetta, Theresa Alabama, Carrie May. 6 sons, Henry S., Andrew Jackson, Charles, William Allan, Joseph Floyd, and David K.
They lived in Henry County, Alabama. In 1874 the family emigrated to Hot Spring County, Arkansas, settling on Bayou Creek. About twelve miles southwest of Malvern. They remained there six years. Then Brantley purchased 120 acres near Antioch, Hot Spring, Arkansas.
Her husband, Brantley died in 1898, she continued farming with the help from her sons William and David.
William took over the farm and Martha lived with him and his family until her death.
