Lawrence Burton, 42, Lexington, passed away at a Lexington hospital Monday. He had entered the hospital February 9.
The owner and operator of the Cardinal Valley Ashland Service Station, he was a native of Pulaski County, and a member of the Crawford Avenue Church of the Nazarene. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows.
He had been a resident of Somerset before moving to Lexington five years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Burton; three daughters, Linda Elaine, Marcia Louise and Lydia Diana Burton; his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. C.C. Burton, Somerset, two brothers, Arnold Burton, Fowler, Indiana, and Denzil Burton, Lexington, and three sisters, Mrs. Elma Jones, Somerset, Mrs. Eva Jones, Amherst, Ohio, and Mrs. Erdean Cain, Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
Funeral services were held this morning at the Crawford Avenue Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. T.T. May and the Rev. J.C. Roberts in charge of services. Burial was in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
