UTAHN KILLED BY PROPELLER IN CALIFORNIA
NEWCASTLE, Iron County UPI)—A Newcastle man was killed instantly Friday night when an airplane propeller struck him on the head after a flight from Bakersfield, Calif. David Anthon Tullis, 40, had been flown here after learning of his 14-year-old daughter's death. She died of natural causes.
Tullis, who had been working in Bakersfield on a construction project, had returned here in his employer's craft. After removing his luggage from the plane, he returned to it. A passenger warned him to watch the propeller and the pilot quickly cut the ignition. But the slow-moving blade struck Tullis on the head and killed him instantly.
