John C. Willey, 59, 104 Riverview Blvd., owner of Little's Lanes, was dead on arrival at a local hospital Tuesday.
Born at Standord, he received his education in Great Falls where he moved with his family in 1929 from Lehi, Willey worked for the railroad before entering the US Navy. After his military service he returned to the railroad and finished his apprenticeship as a machinist.
In September 1943, he and Elizabeth M. Johnson were married in Great Falls. They farmed in the Knees area for 34 years. The couple bought Little's Lanes about five years ago and Willey operated that business until the time of his death.
He enjoyed bowling and had earned many trophies in that sport. Willey had belonged to the Bowling Proprietors Association.
His wife survives with a son, Melvin R. Willey, Brady; three daughters Marlyn Blades and Mrs. Robert (Shelly) Vernon, both of Great Falls.and Mrs. Brad (Cheryl) Clauseen, Blck Eagle; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Vera) Mans, Great Falls, and Mrs Bill (Lillian) Houglum Sidey,.
Survices will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Croxfords Chapel with the Rev. Alvin Glinsmann officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery
