A SAD DEATH
The mangled remains of George Barnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Barnes, who reside five miles northeast of Goffs, were discovered on the Central Branch railroad track about one mile east of Goffs early Monday morning. It appears that the unfortunate young man had wandered from town down the track and while lying or sitting on the track was struck by an east bound train and his body ground to pieces almost beyond recognition. The accident must have occurred between 12 and 1 o'clock Monday morning, as the watch of the deceased was stopped at 12:40- Goffs Advance
