Winston, age 92, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday. He was born to Jessie & Ruth (Loomer) Judd. He attended the University Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the UW-Stevens Point. He served as a deputy sheriff for Portage County. He was a cattle dealer, and a farm implement dealer, insurance salesman, a Harveststore Silo salesman and owner of Sealstor Silo Co. Most recently he owned and operated Judd's Cores. He moved to Jefferson 43 years ago from the Portage area. Winston was a boxer and pitched baseball in college. He was an avid baseball fan, and had a love of horses. He married June B. Newby in 1967. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson, and a former member of the Bancroft Baptist Church in Bancroft. He is survived by his wife, June "Betty" Judd of Jefferson, WI; three daughters, Susan (Dale) Sonnenburg of Oshkosh, WI, Karen (Wilbur) Brown of Hancock, WI and Linda (Bill) Larson of Fife Lake, MI; four sons, James (Jill) Judd of Plover, WI, Gary (Barb) Schenck of Fort Atkinson, WI, Robert (Terri) Schenck of Madison, WI and Mark (Heidi) Judd of Watertown, WI; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Marge (Ed) Kiddie of Florida and Nancy (Curt) Wolle of Plover, WI. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Larry Schenck; two brothers, John Judd and Eldred Judd; three siblings in infancy; and a sister-in-law, Jean Judd. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Bancroft Baptist Church, Bancroft, with the Rev. Jeffrey Silha officiating. Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson is assisting the family with arrangements.
