Mr. Steegman, the son of Herman and Minnie Steegman, was born in Findlay on May 5, 1899 and was a lifelong resident of this county.
He was married on April 25, 1925 to Gladys Reimund, who survives with one son. A brother and his mother are dead, his mother having died when he was seven months old.
Surviving brothers and sisters are Mrs. Paul Hensel, Brooklyn, N.Y.; August Steegman of Peck, Idaho; Mrs. Frank Ostrowsky, Mrs. Ralph Huston, Mrs. Karl Jackson, all of Cleveland; Louis Steegman, Mrs. Grover Swisher and Mrs. Harry Cobb, all of Findlay, and Mrs. Fred Mittlehauser of Toledo. Barney Steegman of Findlay, Fred Dennison of Washington Court House, and Mrs. I Rhiemsnyder, of Findlay, are step brothers and sister.
Mr. Steegman was a lifelong member of the German Lutheran church, and an employee of the Auto Lite at Fostoria.
Funeral arrangements had not been announced last night, other than interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
